The Severed Cord

A child is born, the cord is severed , The mother to her child is tethered , 

throughout their life her love she shows , as years pass by it grows and grows , 

If they should err or do some wrong , mothers there shes always strong, 

 She tends with love the smiles and tears gently smooths away their fears , 

As they grow up and leave the nest , she knows shes given them her best 

As her life fades and death takes over 

Its been a privalege to be a mother
