The Shiftings Of Green

A leaf passed by, asked me
Where does madness hide?
I looked about startled, into
the trees
Looking for wisdom
In the rustle, the breeze
I looked about startled,
Into the beauty
The roar of the water the
shiftings of green...then,
I looked at the leaf
Torn from its limb
Sheltering beetles
All its beetles beneath
I though about answers,
journeyed deep deep inside
where,
The wriggling worms of my
own mad did hide
It hides in our vision I said,
In the sounds of the air,
it hides in the perfect,
Till we wake up...aware....
That the round and about of it
Have claimed home inside
That truth's great illusions now
in us reside
When we know in our hearts
that we're acting a part that,
There's no begin...end...
That its all just pretend
Madness doesn't hide I told
the leaf
It created us
