The shining light

The shining light

I close my eyes
What is that light I see
A glimpse of the past
Looking down on me
I've loved, I've lived
I've made a frown or two lift
But what makes this light so special
It is for me, and me alone
A shimmering jeweled halo
Above your brow
The biggest, warmest smile
It's makes my heart feel so warm
This feeling is what I'm feeling now
I drift off into the deepest sleep
All stress and worriesΒ
Release from within me so deep
I sigh and smile
And what falls is my last weep

Thankyou that is kind of you to say that, I wrote it for someone who had died and I was trying to comfort his friends and family.
