The Shiny Sky

When I open the lid, I see them
White gems of magic
Time travel sights
Pretty lost secrets redeemed
from the dust

Years that have passed by
A young you
The shiny sky, and
It hurts to hold diamonds too
close

The beauty too frozen into
glistening shards,
Hard cutting edges that slice
tender hearts
Sparkles too precious, too
priceless...too lost...
So that boxes with lids
Must stay closed at all cost
Because it hurts
To hold diamonds so close

Being Me

Wow.  The power in your pen is amazing. These words are heartfelt, raw and strong ...yet soooo eloquently delivered. YOU are a diamond Marion  x
