The shivering Shepherdess

The shivering Shepherdess

She tippy-toed thru the tulips in old Amsterdam
her flock of five sheep and a fine texel lamb had got out of her paddock as they ran down a lane
when they heard tups a calling their company again
Now there was a river with rapids so strong as this shepherdess tried to herd them along
But she fell in the water and was soaked to the skin, shaking and shivering coz she was so thin

Well a neighbouring farmer was walking his dog whilst the shepherdess had stripped bare and sat on a log
Can you just imagine the startled sight that he saw
She was freezing and trembling with her bony body red raw
He senses her predicament and took off his fleece coat covering her bits and bobs whilst trying not to gloat

His grand collie companion heard the commotion and galloped like a greyhound in a frenzied explosion
gathering her gimmers and rounding them up just before they mixed up with the texel cross tup
By now the farmer and his female interaction had bonded so well with a physical attraction
The moral of this little story is both romantic and true
They married and merged farmlands after this hullabaloo
