THE SHOW

As the lights went down and the curtains opened
This was to be my Grandsons debut .
The scene was set in a modern School 
All Teachers and Pupils all very loyal ,

The laughs begin and we all go crazy 
For all to see ,no one was lazy .
The children's acting was perfection
The singing and dancing. with no complications .

Everyone there clapped and cheered,
for everything was so blatantly clear .
when the hockey team girls arrived on the stage ,
hockey sticks held high, and shouting with rage ,

With their hockey sticks, banging on the stage floor,
nobody could ask for anything more ,
It was a great performance from the Bully boys too
they were hard and scary, they frightened  me to.

Oh how we laughed as I jumped in my seat 
For the bully boys were not there to be beat ,
At the end of the show ,the very last scene,
Everyone on stage was singing in a dream .

With tears in their eyes,but singing with gusto again 
this is their last play, for all of year Ten
