Poem -

THE SMILE

You are healing, I think
I see the smile
Caught between your eyes
Hesitant and lopsided

But still....
A smile

And do you stand
A little easier
Within your cracked shell
The pieces of it falling away

Your head turned slightly
Towards the heavens blue
Searching maybe
For the better, truer you

The bud of your delicate flower
Peeking shyly through
Revealing the emerging beauty
That is the core
Of your true self

Allowing hands of hope
To heal you
Ready at last
To accept the wisdom
And care
Of loves breath

Do I see you strain a little
Cock an ear towards the sky
To hear the angels sing
To catch the whispered words
As they float by
On the sighing wind

Leaving the devil's rantings
Far away,
Unheard
silenced
And forever stilled

For you have felt too much
And seen too much
Walked pathways
That have carried you away
Far away from love
From us
And from the good days light

But you are healing now, I think
I see the smile
Caught between your eyes
Hesitant and lopsided

But still....
A smile.

My Dear Marion,

This is the best poem of yours, that I have ever read.  Thumbs up, all stars, absolutely beautiful.  We pinned this one.

As time goes by, I slowly heal
A smile will sometimes appear
As the completion of this process
Each nurturing day grows near

All my love,
Larry xxx

I'm touched you liked it Larry...it is from deep within my heart as I watch( with cautious optimism) someone very close to me start to heal after being in a very dark place...it truly is like watching a new bud raise its head towards the sun, thankyou for your support and very kind comments, sincere blessings to you both ?
