Since then to share, in a family's welfare
One must learn to be content
For it is within reason, to share our family's treason
And jointly in their crime and punishment
So when you were born, knowing you were the thorn
Bringing your family such shame
Feeling dead is your due, after all it was you
The black sheep to take all the blame
Then, with head down, crying tears without sound
We boarded that northbound train
For we sinners are rare, knowing somewhere out there
The answers to universal truthsÂ
Are calling us home...
Willing to pay any price, to find the good in the light,
Through the intrigue of finding that place we belong,
From the harmony of hindrance
A universal frame began
Where we find our souls, much more than dead,
Cold and hot, moist and deep,
We pray for our families to receive us
For, it is through profound belief
In we ~ the black sheep
That the diapason opens
Quite beautifully,
Encompassing,
The notes of our lives,
And the music
That is
Our family tree...

You have once again put so expressively into words the entire insecure condition of mankind Tony...beginning as all things do, in the family. That wonderful bubble that nurtures and rejects in equal measures and where we subconsciously learn ( fairly or unfairly) our place within the hierarchy of life. I love this for more reasons than I care to mention here...just... pinned 🤗🤗
PS...I don't know what's up with Cosmo but am recieving no emails with comments, have to look on here and therefore am missing replying to people. Do you have any ideas why Tony???
Marion.....my guess is that they haven't done their annual back-up.....this has happened a few times over the past 7 years I've been here.....They WILL get to it eventually.....doesn't normally take more than a couple days.....but now that I've said that....something will happen to prove me wrong!!.....Friggin' Murphy's Law!! Tony I got a good set of goosebumps as I reached the end of this amazing write. Many of us can feel like the square cog in a round hole. Like I often refer to my son, who marches life by a different tune to others. Doesn't mean his tune is no good. It’s just different. Different  can be the most interesting thing of a person.
Family can be complicated, it’s normally assumed you will assimilate (sorry for the Star Trek Borg reference) but black sheep can’t just mould themselves into the family traditions and expectations. I think if they did, life would continually have an itch you couldn’t  scratch, and that would be so frustrating and torture. It’s just not natural,  things in life shouldn’t be forced. I loved how you took the reader into the psyche of this black sheep. Then you brought the reader to the summit of your thinking. That need to feel acceptance and love. To have family see the beauty in your ways. For the black sheep to bring harmony to its family tree. A moving write my friendÂ

hey Tony ! I'm your brother and they haven't accepted me either., so introduce me and I bet I will be an outcast too!. You just hang out with me, I'll officially adopt you!. I need as many brothers as I can get! My family is fractured, I was adopted and could never make my Dad happy! When I was adopted into my religion I got to know my Heavenly Father through study and experimentation with the eternal Gospel by reading and pondering.
