Poem -

The Sound of Evolution

Update,

As I look upon my sofa

I process machines

gaze on machines

With a machine

Running in my background.

The retro versions of myself

Perched stiff, screens

Glued on screens

Despite what they could've seen

They monitor screams from screens of scenes they shall never see.

It is a war you see, a war serene,

because It is obscene they perceive the world through glass

When such ease is to access places they could've been.

With technology to both keep them and set them free,

It seems like a scene from esteemed self help books.

I've seen small screens trap ambition

And I am only eighteen.

As my screens watch me

Type these words on this screen

I scream.

I have seen my reflection

Trapped in another machine.
