The Spiral Turns

 Rain falls like tears from heaven outside my windowpane
An outpouring of the Gods for the little men on Earth
Brought to Life and Love and Suffering
In this their human birth.

Spirals throughout; an eye for Art
DNA, Milky Way,
Spiral galaxies Unfolding and unfurling in a never ending Cosmic Dance

Whilst we the rats overrun the ship
Polluting and destroying where we tread
Bringing Gaia to her knees
Facilitating the demise of the bees

Acid oceans and death of coral reefs
Extinct species for whom we offer no wreaths
Plastic infused fish on our plastic reused dish
We abusers of oil cause our planet to boil

The tears of the Gods are endless
Equilibrium destroyed
The balance out of kilter
Enki surveys Innana with darkened eyes
These creatures you created all gone awry

We are in the End Times now
Gaia will free herself from this parasitic infection
The Annunaki will watch with introspective reflection
It's time to stop milking the Holy Cow

Another twist in the race throughout Space
From the Blue Planet with the humans fallen from Grace
Like Mistletoe they strangle their Host

Another day, Another way
Another crime, Another rhyme
Another birth, Another death
Another intake of Cosmic Breath.
