Poem -

Gemini

My mind has gone away.

My mind has left me behind.

In the morning breeze,

My mind picks sweet cherries

From the orchard trees.

In the late afternoon,

My mind plants tulips,

Ready to bloom.

And presses pretty daises

In between the pages of lazy day memories.

In the amber evening,

My mind rests

Under pastel skies,

With stars of sugar

And candy floss clouds; divine.

Whilst every night,

I refill my glass,

Until the words on my screen

Begin to spin and fade to black.

Every day,

I awake

To a world of grey,

And a damp 7:30 train.

With bitter clouds

And doubtful skies.

My mind has gone away.

My mind has left me behind.

Dear mind,

If you can hear me,

Please,

Don't come back.

"Oh sorry, I didn't see you there."
