THE STATES OF AMERICA

The states of America have some fantastic names 
They lend themselves to one of those poetry games 
For example if you lived in Kentucky 
Are you considered unfortunate and unlucky ? 

Maybe if you lived in the state of Maine  
It could cause terrible hardship and lots of pain 
Let's of course not forget dear old Delaware 
Dwelling there maybe difficult and unfair 

I'm not slagging off these states just so you know 
After all I live in the state of Idaho
