Poem -

the story we wrote

Feels like it's all been for nothing
I hate that you don't get to stay
To think I thought I was director
Of music as well as the play

Seems we don't get to write our
own ending
The scripts have been taken away
I hate that they forced you to exit
I hate that they forced me to stay

I hate these new scenes we've
been acting
This was never the story we wrote
Feels like it's all been for nothing
Can't speak for the lumps in my
throat

I am dying with fear and stage
fright
I am froze like a rabbit in lights
I hate that its all been for nothing
Hate how now nothing feels right

I wish you could come back and
stay here
Rewritten into each new part
I wish that this plot led to more
than
One mother and one broken heart

A contradiction of traditional tone and the background of anger, the point driven home with the repetitive perspective of giving up

I'll take your word for it, I don't tend to analyse what I write anymore... the words just find themselves paper and kick on lol, thanks R... always appreciated x

A sad, sad plot. Some hearts are too broken to be mended. Maybe just a little patch every now and then… Ah, just take my hug, will you?!   B
