Poem -

The summer wind

Laying in the Wheat Field
The sky is blue the sun
Is bright the birds are
Singing a dog is barking
And two lovers are hiding
In the Wheat Field as
Two crows fly by
As the summer wind blows

Sitting in the Wheat Field
Watching the cars buses
Go by on the road Watching
The train go by up the road
Watching the children play
By the house across the road
As a flag blows in the summer wind

Sitting on the front porch looking out
Over the Wheat Field sitting
In my rocking chair watching
The world go by and thinking
Of summer in the old days
As the horse and buggys
would ride by as i was drinking lemond
As the summer wind blows.
