The Sun

 As the blazing sun rises,
Into the height and depths of its extreme heat.
I look at the long and straight path ahead of which I happily greet.
Then thirst kicks in,
And dreams of an oasis is all I’m thinking.
As I look at the long and hot road ahead of me,
With the suns rays blazing down from the clear blue sky, In the distance,
On the horizon,
Shimmering,
As if,
To mine eyes,
There’s a layer of hazy water, Flowing between the sky and the earth,
Seems strange, As water is all that’s on my mind....
At home,
Most of us,
including I,
Waste so much water for unnecessary reasons,
So what will we do,
when the sun drains us dry? Sit there and think of all the questions as you cry,
And slowly through thirst, Begin like the death of a flower,
Till every petal falls of,
And leaves you to die.
So act now and think for the future,
Self sustainability would help us become one with all of nature.
No taxes on water that is freely ours,
Would end world thirst through heat,
Within weeks or days or even hours.
What water we waste,
If from around the world,
all collected,
Would be enough for the whole of Africa's thirst to be injected.
Places where the sun’s heat is too much,
Would help the poorer nations to live,
Farm properly and to provide something for them,
And make them proactive. The sun doesn’t just affect the poorer nations too.
Even here,
In England,
The sun at its height,
Can bring this whole nation grinding down,
Stops us in our tracks,
Usually just the few weeks in the summertime.
We’re told to stay indoors as the sun’s rays are to powerful, And cancer it brings out, Spending too much time in it. We are a country of worry,
A country that can’t cope with a few weeks of our summertime heat.
Next time we have temperatures soaring,
Just think of the 3rd world countries,
In constant heat all year round,
Dying of thirst,
Nourishment and food.
Every day they wake up to that blistering heat,
Of their countries morning..... The sun can be a beautiful thing,
And at the right temperatures, Makes you happy and warming.
All year round though,
IÂ wonder how long our great nation would survive, Probably only a matter of a couple of years,
Maybe,
Who knows.
At least then we’ll get to know thirst and hunger,
As a harsh reminder,
That wasting precious water, Isn’t the way to go on living, As a reminder of thirst and hunger on this earth,
For years now,
Whole nations its been killing!Â
