Poem -

the SUN flower

the SUN flower

and she
in all her beauty
bled for me,
her sundress dirty

torn by sultry winds, that
even as the sun objected,
laughed
so that my heart...dejected...

turned to soothe my tattered
thing
who had brillianced summer
outshone spring, and...

touched me
with the sun's own rays
her pretty face...her pretty way
yet, felled now in her summer
bed
her petals leached and parched
and bled...
too dead

Being Me

Just so well worded. There is always such a brutal beauty in your words. Brilliant x

We went to the sunflowers fields in Rhosili...there are fields of them above a beautiful coastline and they made me cry( well everything does) but there is something mystical about hundreds of them all together blowing in the breeze, probably because of their size. I felt so sorry for the ones that had succumbed to the elements lying there in the gaps. I ramble...but that's why I wrote this lol xxx

It is simply breath taking to read what you compose Marion and to learn from.
You can clearly gift poetic colour to any shaded melancholy theme.
New light through old windows, so to speak and your light is blinding and pure.
Nothing escapes you or your endless original imagination when your pen touches paper.
A brilliant piece from beginning to end, every word and line compliments perfectly the other.
A real spellbinder of a write you have generously shared.
Thank you for writing something timeless and unique.❤️

I personally believe if one writes poetry for long enough, almost everyone will pen a poem about these majestic flowers .. I know I have .. and I have also read many more crafted by poetic peers both near and far .. However, and without fear of contradiction, your fine example
"the SUN flower" stands tall and is among the very best ........... N :)
