The Terror

I.
Witch moved her pawn forward a square
Michael moved his knight
Zap!
A ball of light shot up from the board
"Check"
Spiderthin fingers plucked a queen off her throne
Knight now swiped aside
His blood splattered upon her purple talons
The Angel grumbled
(...)
II.
Playing from memory
The Angel slid his final bishop across crimson drowned checkers
"Jayzeus!" inhaled the witch in surprise
She craned her queen of shadows down into position
Sealing the wax of fate
"Check mate", she wryly grinned
A fiery serpent rose up from the floor
"Well done faithful servant," breathed her opponent
Severed at the neck as if with a wire cutter
The head of Buddha landed on the gaming table
The remaining krishna-blue torso shriveling up and dissolving as indigo dust
It crumbled like a sand castle
Her Lord was dead
"Finally" she said,
"There is no God!"
III.
Heaven rolled away from Hell
The world was no more
The Shakinnah had returned to her Shiva or might we say visa-versa
And the fallen Seraph of the Wilderness began to melt all in its path
Every soul that remained became trapped in molten worms
The witch's queen vanished at the collapse of the matrix
And chaos ruled the sulphur sea
Into which God had shed ner hundredth name:
Al 'Irhab
