The Thing About Women

We push and shove
To be a cut above.
Ambition, contrition,
Women on a mission.
Wishing and fishing
For approval, attention
Seeking, speaking up
But failing to mention
That we are real.
Real women, real desires
Doing all that's required
To be a prototype of perfection
But there's beauty in our failure.
Failure to be perfect
Is not a defeat, a reversal.
There is no rehearsal
In this wacko world, girls.
So let's make no apology
For our biology.
Let's stop being so offended
By our endless diversity.
It would be a pity to forget
This is what makes us real.

None of us are perfect, Lisa—no man, woman or child (although there are some who like to think they are). Mankind is an imperfect creation.
We can learn from our mistakes, however. In fact, learning from our mistakes is the only thing that makes our mistakes worth making.
Men are no more important in the workplace or at home than are women, and vice versa.
So, you go, girl!
