Sydney's Children

It's sharp

A child of the 70s

Though not as visible as before

In some ways, still stands out in the crowd

But it's dwarfed now by taller rooks

And is no longer the centre of attention

It has become commodified

Though in the east it is labelled "West"

Built upon whiteness but exploited by an international market

One good thing about us both is

In the darkest night we still light up
