THE UNKNOWN LADY

Commanded the room when in she cameĀ
Everyone was desperate to know her name
Heads were turned who was she ?
A model perhaps has she been on TV ?

Dressed casual and very smartĀ
This unknown lady kept herself apart
Me being a chancer offered her a drink
That's when this lady gave me a winkĀ

Thank you she said and ordered a beer
I thought that odd and decidedly queer
Never judge a book by its coverĀ
Took me a few minutes to recoverĀ

Composure regained I chatted once moreĀ
Wondering what other things this lady had in store
