The very ❤️ of me

I find fantasy fascinating
Magical mystique enchants me
Once upon a time story books
with fairies fluttering free

Witches on wooden broomsticks
Wonderful wizards & warrior warlords
Neverland the home of tinkerbell
Captain Hook’s pirates with their swords

Perhaps it is the child in me
that refrains from growing old
I refuse to accept reality
no matter what I am told

Whilst I expect the unexpected
I believe in things I cannot see
as my vivid imagination  
plays with crazy creativity

I shall always celebrate halloween
dressing up in fancy dress
with my long black witches
costume & my straggly hair in a mess

I send my letter to Santa claus 
decorations are up ages before
with my real six foot Christmas tree
& a holly wreath on my door

I am bewitched by ghosts & ghouls,
mermaids & mermen in the sea
Mysteriousness & make-belief
lives within the very heart of me
