The Wailing Wall

The Wailing Wall

Talking to the oblivious wall
as I engage in a deep
very one sided conversation
with the indifferent chipped paint
about the fragility of life
and the tyranny of time..

Crickets chirp merrily
while I spill my tormented soul
which at least serves
as much need vent therapy
in an attempt to get
this anvil existence off my chest..

Of course the stationary structure
cares not a bit about my troubles
which mirrors the stone cold apathy
the rest of humanity feels for me
and my pathetic self pity philosophy
