The wild once more

A breath raised its self to the cold wintering sky, as if to say see me,
it was cold enough to freeze the river once so willing to just be,
the calling birds had gone away, to warmer places and left it lone,
I walked the pathway surrounding it, and made that trial home,
Frosty flowering a midst the garden's, like little figurines of ice,
left in the wilderness of a winters kiss,
One foot in front of the other the boundaries I could not view,
in all of winters long apparel the mist was present too,
The light of the open fire lead the heart in roaming flames
I had made it home in the hardship of nature's way and aims
The sticks I found for kindling Shall in turn relight the core
And once the sun reaches out from the heavens,
I trailblaze the wild once more.
