Sometimes when I'm feeling blue
I go to the wilderness ~ in my mind
I find there, that nature comforts me
Like Henry David Thoreau
The breeze blowing across my consciousness
I am invigorated by the beauty, all around
Under, through, flitting in the trees,
Wading in the memories
Tastes that remind, fairy's that sing to my soul
And in the rivers
Flowing through the mountains
Purple, sublime, dancing ballets
And flowering fields, glowing in sunlight
With golden rainbows beholden to you
And all that's been laid before me
I close my eyes and just fall into the grass
And roll in the splendor of its miracle
Born of heavens touch
To commit to being involved
In the "everything" that we are
By embracing the nature of all things
It is in this sweet symbiosis
That I find that I commune with Nature's blessings
That I thank God for this most rare
Of opportunities,
That,
Of being alive....
