The willow tree (Manchester)

The willow tree (Manchester)

Bow your head for those we've lost
To the sounds of the last post
Earth's children suffer fate's call
For whom the bells now toll

Walk in meadows holding hands
Across these burnt forsaken lands
Taken in to the fires of hell
For whom the bells now toll

Reach for friends in this hard time
Humanity in an unholy crime
Days dark in front of this devil

For whom these bells now toll

The empty field; in shallow water
These broken lives, son and daughter
Trees in winter's icy chill

For whom these bells now toll

Violent violent world
Killing child, child child
Listening to the school bell
For whom?

Silence in the empty yard yearn
For our child who does not return
Gone; our sons and daughters to
....the weeping willows call
For whom the bells now toll

Nails in faces;
Yet our soul and spirit shall
NOT EVER BE TAKEN
As the weeping willows call

For whom the bells now toll
In honour of the victims of terror

Prayer is worthwhile- terrorists are not.

Very very tragic Cherie; thank you for

coming by on this sad day.

Best wishes Jai;)
