The Winds Of You

The Winds Of You

I hear you in the winds at night; you softly call my name;

Your gentle voice will speak to me, and rekindle burned out flames!

The ones that raged within my heart, the passions just for you;

But now my tears have put them out, once golden, now turned blue!

But then you breeze into my soul, your words produce a flame;

That joins with winds and lights my fire, my heart calls out your name!

And then I feel loves’ warmth again, I sense you’re here with me;

For a while my heart stops its tempered tears, and so happy again, it be!

But all too soon the air turns calm, the flame flickers, then it dies;

Your rhetoric has now faded out, and my heart resumes its cries!

Then I pray you’ll soon return, on gusts that blow anew;

That bring with them the words I hear, with gentle winds of you!
