Poem -

the writer’s tears

the writer’s tears

With thee pen this contract written
In a dark green cavern night
Once a serpent viper bitten
So took dark from the withering light
The writer’s tests, trials and tears
From birth to life so death begun
With bats in darkness frightening fears
A soul risen to death succumb
O Lord of light; of sun and hope
Flew across mountains whitest cloud
Will love this night elope
Or wither as ghosts in dust’s own shroud
