The wrong guy

The wrong guy

I’m the black kid on the
Corner
The one with the runny nose
The Jew in the synagogue
With lots of people close
I’m the catholic with an opinion
A Protestant at that
Probably a Buddhist
As I meditate on a mat
There I go a Muslim
With my caliphate ideals
A Mormon in his church
And a wife or two that heals
I chant like Harri Krishna
Eat curry like a Hindu
Praying to Lord Vishnha
Inevitably on the loo
Lord Jesus I simply ask
Who the hell am I
When they bury in the coffin
The unfortunate wrong guy
Am
I the soul
Of poor humanity
Sitting in the cave
The P in impropriety
That had the closest shave
Am I the black kid on the corner
A Protestant at that
Probably a Buddhist
As I meditate on a mat
