THEIR THOUGHTS

They thought him odd and thought him strange 
All he wanted was a little change 
He is a human being just like you 
Breathes the same air that much is true

They thought him different and not quite there
With his tatty clothes and scruffy hair 
Circumstances have dictated how he has become
It's not by choice he is a tramp and bum 

They thought him just another hopeless case 
Best to avoid him and find some different space 
If only they could see him in another light 
This man would not be sleeping in a box tonight
