Then she was gone… 👻

Then she was gone… 👻

There she stood in my room last night

 I guess I ought to have been afraid, yes I should have got fright

But strangely enough as I gazed at her face

Her eyes didn’t see me, she was stuck in another place....

Lost in her solace that expression said it all

Her shadowy silhouette  on my bedroom wall

She had grey hair which looked in a mess

 As it covered her bony shoulders ontop of her dress....

Well it wasn’t really a dress I think she wore a velvet gown

But Oh her sorrow showed through that saddening frown

I sensed her stories from bygone years

She looked lost in my room from her visible tears....

Alas my vision blurred with my staring too much

 I wish now I had spoke or I should have went to touch

But tho time stood still,  it wasn’t long enough to think

The  she was gone.... my ghost vanished in a blink....

Nice write Jill. Like Being Me I have seen the departed and never has it scared me in that moment. They just look like people but a bit flatter x
