THERE'S A LOT OF WISHING

There's a lot of wishing going on this year 
People wishing their loved ones would suddenly reappear 
Some people are wishing for glory and fame 
While others are wishing they could clear their name 

There's a lot of wishing going on this year 
Teenagers are wishing they could afford another beer  
The old folk are wishing they were younger once more 
A time to reflect what their life had in store  

I personally wish the world was in a better place
For the way the world is now is a utter disgrace
