Poem -

Theres a rainforest not far from here

Late afternoon, the sky is rumbling, god is displeased. The tall trees are swaying. There is a beautiful old thick tree with a small hole in the side just big enough for me to slip into, shelted from the rain.

Inside, I slip just in time to stay dry as the heavens open up over the rainforest. I watch as the rain splatters on the leaves of the trees around me. The droplets bring out the wonderful shades of green.

Finally the heavens close for a little while, I step into the beautiful lush green forest, I hear tinkling of fairy bells, I imagine, and the beautiful music of the birds and crickets, a door appears in the tree I shelted in, a door to fairyland.

Aphrodite, Aphrodite, I hear my mother call, decisions to fairyland or home.

Home I go away from a once in a lifetime opportunity, leaving the door to fairyland behind, the forest, so beautiful after the rainfall.
