Theres a place for me
Sometimes I wonder who I am.
I know I am a woman.
Some say just a woman
But I say I am a special woman.
One of the great women.
I am me.
The one my mother taught
to be a woman.
The one she would be proud of.
Men sometimes want to love me
I let them love me.
It feels good.
Like a prisoner who is released
and finds freedoms sunlight
after years of darkness.
But it does not mean
I need to love them back.
That is for my heart to decide.
And when the sunlight fades
and the glow moves on.
we should still be in love
Not lost or forsaken.
I know we all need
a place to be loved.
Every woman
on earth needs that.
What we forget sometimes
is that we have that place.
We were born with it .
It is in every one of us .
It is in yourself
It is in our own hearts.
and the person you
must love the most
Is yourself.
