THIS HOMELESS GAME

Curled up dead in Debenhams doorway
That's how his death was reported today
Treated as a number and not a name
Nobody cares in this homeless game

Natural causes is how this man died
What is natural about sleeping outside
Not suspicious is what they also said
Seems suspicious to me not having a bed

The homeless plight touches my heart
What causes a man's life to fall apart ?
This homeless game is both tragic and sad
Another needless death to get me angry and mad

I wholeheartedly agree with you.  What a great write and awareness.  As we sometimes "suffer" with our every day problems, people are off a lot worse.  I couldn't imagine anything worse than not knowing where your next meal is coming from or where you will lay your head.
