This Leaf

This Leaf

Oh, this leaf!
This leaf, to which I cleave,
Displays what I have missed—
The image of your supple lips.
Delightful is your kiss
When you share your lips with me.

Oh, this leaf!
How wondrous it looks to me!
Its shape and crimson hues
Awaken thoughts I've had of you.
I relish the luscious softness
When you share your lips with me.

Oh, this leaf!
How can I ever release?
When I'm apart from you,
It reminds me of what can be.
I am replete with joy
When you share your lips with me.

Thank you! Yes, the leaf does look like lips, which inspired me to write this poem. It's amazing how things in nature can evoke pleasant memories.
