The Crowd Has Spoken

From my Raven Collection

The Crowd Has Spoken

Sometimes I want to call you
but I know in my heart
you're not here
I’m sorry you had to let go
I’m sorry we had to say goodbye
one more embrace
one more thing to say?
I’d truly give anything
to hear your voice today
back in time I saw your smile
you told me I was loved
you told me, you were proud

yet, today...

this room has no crowd.

Strong words, gently said. The regret, the hindsight and the wisdom in it, is all too palpable. This is a beautiful piece, Shirley. ❤️🖊️🌻🌺

There's absolutely humanity here.
To me, I count humanity as brokenness.
God will only carry you so far.
Were as the sun takes you right into
It's heart.

Thank you dearest Rory, I don't believe in any God, but you are absolutely right about the sun, even if it shines for a moment it can take us places we never thought possible. Thank you dear friend. 🌹
