Threadbare & Frazzled ?

Threadbare & Frazzled ?

I thought I’d lost your image
I had it imprinted in my mind
Oh how I struggled with my memory
But my remembrance was unkind
Was this merely a moment lapsed ?
Would I picture you again ?
No matter how hard I engaged my brain
Alas my trials were all in vain

Every solitary split second
I bamboozled my hassled head
Yet only flimsy, flashes of innuendos
Briefly glimpsed at me instead
Wrathed with puzzlement & perplexity
Day was merging to night
Oh please someone clear my vision so your face can come to light

Emotionally threadbare & frazzled
I was feeling the worse for wear
As thoughts of complete uncertainty
Was too much for me to bear
Admitting defeat I went to bed
My tears flowed like a stream
Then all at once you came to me,
I saw you clearly in my dream❤️
