Three in the bed 💕

“Mammy I am scared” cries a child to her Mother, “Can I not get into bed beside Bobby my big brother?  but Mother thinks her son wouldn’t want to sleep with another, so she climbs in her little ones bed and cuddles in God love her..

“I can’t get to sleep Mam”, her twelve year old son Bobby has opened the bedroom door as he is rubbing his weary eyes stood on the carpeted floor..”Oh bless you love do you want to join your little sister and i?”..she has just nodded off to my lullaby..So without further ado Bobby clambers into Madelyn’s bed and Mother moves him to the middle of the three of them, there is more room for his head..and good old Mammy lies on the mattress instead, but at least they are all cozied up with the king-size bedspread..

Now her son and small daughter are both fast asleep, and a brother snuggles his little sister Madelyn as  they both lie in a heap..and Mother slowly gets out of her side of the bed in a crawling creep, she thinks it’s time to leave them both blissfully slumbering deep..Feeling a little over tired Mammy tiptoes into her own room, the middle of the night is darkness with a sense of gloom, but the air is sweet scented from her Coco Channel perfume.. and Mother smiles as she reminisces both of her babies in her womb...
