Three Mayflower Trucks In A Row

I saw three
Mayflower trucks in a row
Heading down the highway
For places unknown
Like the Nina, the Pinta
And the Santa Maria
Floating on concrete
Instead of the sea

I wondered to myself
About the places they'd go
And in that strange room
Of imagination
I saw them coming
Up the driveway to greet me
Like three ships
Floating on concrete

It's funny how time
Has a way of folding
It's funny how life
Has a way of holding you in check
Like heading down the highway
To places unknown
And floating on concrete
Instead of the sea

A journey to a new world
Of hearth and home
Exploring the depths
Of oceans and open roads
Pulling into port
To unload the cargo
Of three Mayflower trucks
I saw in a row.....
