THREE PLACARDS

We can afford to fund another country's war 
Yet don't have enough money to care for the poor
A simple slogan on a placard that I saw 
Sums up the state of the world that's for sure 

A little further down another placard I read 
Why do people want this living earth dead ?
Another powerful message it has to be said 
Something I will think about before I go to bed 

I was then stopped in my tracks as you will see
A placard carrying person came towards me 
The message read let innocent people go free 
Something which I wholeheartedly agree 

Placards three each with a story to share 
Showing to all that they really do care 
Will get funny looks and people will stare
They want our world to be better and fair
