THREE TO FLY
Crouching low, gaining speed
Off the ramp, through the air
Those below, taking heed
Hitting snow, feeling's rare
Through the air ~ Free of care

Helmet on, green light flash
Into space, bird without wings
Piercing clouds, ripping cord
Calm exhilaration brings
Through the air ~ Free of care
---------------------------------
Across the roof, on the edge
Windy day, looking down
Trees below, on the edge
Decision's made, reach for ground
Through the air ~ Free of care

I used to skydive, Tony. But that was before I had my heart attack in 2010.
In the military I jumped nine times out of the back of a C-130 cargo bay, then picked it up again once I circulated back into civilian life.
I've logged 32 static line jumps, fifteen free-fall jumps from 12,000 feet, and just for sh!ts and giggles I have thirty eight bungee cord jumps.
Sadly I can do none of those things anymore.
I AM going to go zip lining across the Grand Canyon before I die.
It's on my bucket list; wanna come with me?

Hey DEAN!!......I wrote this when I was 18 (daydreaming)....... one of the few things I haven't brought to fruition is skydiving...... I've skied some of the most challenging/beautiful mountains...... I've done (pretty much) everything the Grand Canyon has to offer..... my favorite were the helicopter rides......I haven't done the zip lines..... and yes..... I'd love to go man.... we're about the same age...... should be fun!!.... let me know.....PM me...... I'll give you my number..... I've helicopter-dropped on mountains...... I've gone spelunking..... rock climbing...... played semi-pro football....... sensory deprivation chambers...... primal scream......Tai Chi etc...... and now that we're almost done comparing penis size...... lets hook up for some good sex!! LMAO!!....... you're fun bro.... we should invite LARRY along ~ he keeps threatening to come visit Cherie and I here.... and he has some kick ass stories!!....... anyway, I'm rambling again......thanx for this my friend....... peace....T xo
