As time continues
consumed by us all 
Our perception 
Leads some to believe
that only one winner takes all.
If only you knew me
And how hard I have tried 
to find a solution
to my problems 
and live an honest 
and meaningful life.
Believe me I promise 
That the past decade has not been the *real me* 
Dazed and confused 
Permission to be happy
has long been refused. 
It’s now time to slay 
the metaphorical dragon
And on the cigarettes 
stop dragging! 
After tonight
tomorrow is free 
If only you knew
what it’s like to be ME 
(and if only I knew how to help you believe more in yourself thus believing in me)
