TIANANMEN SQUARE

Li and Su romantically met in Tiananmen Square
So many other students happened to be there
They were unhappy how their country was run
For them the day would end by the shot of a gun

Li and Su held hands to show they wanted peace
They like many others wanted all killing to cease
The government opened fire so many lives lost
Peace comes with a price and a devastating cost

Li and Su never did make it home that awful day
Two bullets aimed for their hearts got in the way
Tiananmen Square should never be forgotten
The killing of innocent lives both evil and rotten
