Poem -

Time

They often say I'm wasted, yet am I truly yours to waste? can you control me back and forth or keep me in one place? can I be bent or curved or looped? can you manage to keep me in line? I do not live by the metrics of man and you cannot measure time. I cannot outlast creation, for who will write my page, a history etched so deep, even the stones remember my age. So instead measure a man's deeds in life and how long he may live, for time is free to take away just as it is free to give. It is so personified that there are secrets it has withheld, but what lies beyond the ticking clock, only time will tell.
