Tiny Lights

She is much too beautiful for me.
I know she could get much better
looking men any time she wanted..
I have always had a fear she
would leave one day
and leave me
devastated and broken.
I finaly asked her yesterday
why did you choose me,
such an ordinary man
when she could have
had her choice
of the handsome guys.
She smiled and touched
my cheek gently.
And she said
its your aura it is the most
beautiful thing I have ever seen.
I dated men who had auras
like bright searchlights.
they were so bright they blinded
my eyes.
But yours are all over you
like tiny  lights
on a christmas tree.
And I have always loved
Christmas trees..
