Tired Eyes

Tired Eyes

Should've gone to bed last night
But I thought of her from light to light
She's even there when my eyes are closed
But when I open them, I'm alone

I want to hold her close to meΒ
I count down to hour seventeen
Because when that last hour's up,
I watch her walk in, dreamily

Beautiful eyes,
Beautiful nose,
Beautiful hair,
Yet no one knows

She lights up the room
everywhere she goes,
even in the dark,
like a flashlight, she glows

To me only she belongs,
She really is the only one
Because for her, my heart will long
I am her moon, and she is my sun
