Poem -

Tis’ the season to be jolly?

Hedgegrows of hardy holly
Adorned with clusters of red berries
Festive garlands on the staircase
Mulled wine that makes us merry

Choirs of children stood dressed warmly in a row
Singing Familiar favourite carols
The old ones which we all know

Santas presents ripped open
Patterned papers on the floor
Didn’t he do well, everything we wanted & more

Mothers mince pies & Grandmas
Favourite Xmas pud
Grandad blurts out his bygone stories
He would remember more if he could

All the little ones are occupied
Playing with their new toys
Parents are joining in the charades with their teenage girls & boys

Surfing all the tv channels
Watching the films we’ve seen before
We all enjoy these movies
Though they have been repeated galore

This is Christmas after all
This is what we all do
Take as many family photographs
Memorable memories for you

Wishing you a cheery Xmas
A happy, healthy New Year
Best wishes for your families
& All your loved ones so dear
