I have watched you fade 
Beneath hidden promises
From him to you 
And you to me 

A love that bounds,
The shackles bestowed 

Hidden truths, 
And half told lies 

You slowly burn,
Before my eyes 

A girl that once was
Is no longer known

For that girl I mourn
