Poem -

To God From A Daughter

If you had wanted me
To understand death
You should not have given me
Such a small brain

The ability
To feel such love
The capacity
For such great pain

If you had wanted me
To understand death
You would not have left me
This bereft

Or betrayed meĀ
When you stole him back
You discarded me
With your sin of theft
