TO HIS GOD HE PRAYS

Have you seen that man in town over there 
Kneeling down and saying a prayer 
He's asking his God for something I'm sure
Maybe to put an end to killing and war 

The prayer he offers is both silent and still 
His God I hope offers him advice and goodwill 
Can't be easy for his God especially now 
The world is in a right mess somehow 

To his God this man speaks every day 
Nothing and nobody gets in his way 
Is religion the answer I can't possibly say 
Just have to hope everything will be okay
